Privacy Policy

SnapHandover is an offline-first job documentation tool. The current release does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking SDKs, payments, or cloud synchronization.

Your work data stays on your device. SnapHandover does not upload job details, photos, signatures, or reports to the developer.

Data stored on the device

The application can store job and customer details, addresses, references, dates, descriptions, checklist states, original photos, report previews, photo notes, business details, an optional logo, signatures, language settings, and locally generated PDF reports in its private application storage.

It can also retain previous ClipMaster clipboard history when that information already existed on the device before the SnapHandover update. Android backup is disabled for this release.

Camera, photo library, and timestamps

Camera access is requested only when the user chooses to take a job photo. The system photo picker opens only when the user chooses an existing image. SnapHandover does not capture photos in the background.

Camera photos use the device time. For images selected from the library, original metadata is used when available. When original metadata is unavailable, the report identifies the image as a library image and displays the time it was added. Device times and photo metadata are documentation and are not independent verification.

PDF reports and sharing

PDF reports are generated locally on the device. A file leaves SnapHandover only when the user deliberately chooses another application or recipient through the Android share sheet. The privacy practices of the receiving email, messaging, storage, printing, or other service then apply.

Network transmission and third parties

The current application code does not transmit job data, photos, clipboard history, signatures, or reports to the developer or a third-party server. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, payment, or cloud-sync SDK.

Retention and deletion

Data remains on the device until the user removes individual content, selects Delete all local data in the in-app Legal & privacy screen, or uninstalls the application.

Deleting all local data removes SnapHandover jobs, original photos, previews, reports, settings, signatures, recovery data, and old ClipMaster clipboard history from that device. Shared copies stored in other applications are not deleted.

Security and limitations

Application-private storage reduces access by ordinary applications, but no mobile device can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect the device with a screen lock and share reports only with intended recipients.

A PDF, device timestamp, imported-photo metadata, or in-app signature is documentation. SnapHandover does not independently verify identity, consent, ownership, work quality, timestamp accuracy, or legal admissibility.

Children

SnapHandover is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated before introducing accounts, cloud synchronization, payments, advertising, analytics, or other processing that materially changes these practices.

Terms of Use

By using SnapHandover, you agree to use it responsibly as a documentation tool. The application does not replace a contract, professional inspection, legal advice, identity verification, or any document required by law or by an agreement with a customer.

Permitted use

You may use SnapHandover to document cleaning, moving, property handover, maintenance, delivery, and similar work. You are responsible for having permission to photograph or record people, homes, workplaces, documents, vehicle registration plates, keys, meters, addresses, or other personal or confidential information.

You must not use the application for unlawful surveillance, harassment, deception, impersonation, discrimination, or to create misleading evidence.

Accuracy and signatures

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all job details, notes, checklist states, photos, business information, signatures, and report recipients. Device times and imported-photo metadata can be inaccurate, missing, or changed.

An in-app signature records an acknowledgement associated with the information shown at the time of signing. It does not independently verify identity, replace a legally required signature method, or waive legal rights.

Local storage and user responsibility

Free release and future payments

The current release is free and contains no payment system, subscription, advertising, or in-app purchase. These terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated before paid features are introduced.

Availability and liability

SnapHandover is provided as available without a guarantee that it will meet every legal, contractual, evidentiary, or technical requirement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for indirect loss, lost income, lost business, lost data, reputational loss, device failure, inaccurate user input, misuse of personal information, or third-party sharing services.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer law.
